Jenner - Jennerbahn am Königssee - vue vers l'est sur le Hohes Brett
🇩🇪 Bavaria · Germany — Altitude 1800 m
This live camera looks east from the Jenner mountain station above Königssee, a deep glacial lake in the Berchtesgaden Alps. It is useful for checking how the mountain and lake look right now before planning a cable car ride or a walk.
Jenner sits at roughly 1,800 metres on the western flank of the Berchtesgaden Alps, close to the village of Schönau am Königssee in Bavaria. Königssee is one of Germany's cleanest and most famous lakes, its dark green water enclosed by steep limestone walls. The area is part of the Berchtesgaden National Park and is known for its alpine meadows, rocky ridges and the traditional boats that cross the lake.
The camera is aimed eastward toward the Hohes Brett, a broad limestone massif on the far side of the valley. Depending on the view, you may see changing light on the rock faces, cloud moving over the peaks, or snow cover in winter. Mornings often give clear, soft light on the ridges, while late afternoon can bring shadows that show the terrain more clearly.
Summers are mild at the lake and cooler at altitude, while winters bring considerable snow and frequent cloud. Check the weather block on this page before travelling, as conditions at the top can differ sharply from the valley. Other cameras nearby include the Berchtesgaden Jennerbahn and the FlyingCam, which show different angles of the same mountain region.
