Eibsee - Téléphérique de la Zugspitze - pylône record du monde - vue vers le nord
🇩🇪 Bavaria · Germany — Altitude 1360 m
This camera watches the Zugspitze cable car pylon above Lake Eibsee, looking north across the Bavarian Alps. It is a useful window for anyone planning a day on Germany's highest mountain or simply curious about snow and mountain weather. The live player below shows the current view, with local time and forecast beside it.
Eibsee is a small glacier lake at roughly 1,000 metres in the Wetterstein range near Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria. The Zugspitze, at 2,962 metres, is the highest peak in Germany and sits on the border with Austria. The area is known for its clear lake, forested slopes and dramatic limestone walls, and it draws hikers, skiers and day visitors from across Europe throughout the year.
The camera is aimed at the cable car pylon, so the view is about the mountain structure, the slopes and the sky above the Wetterstein range. Depending on the view, you may see fresh snow in winter, spring meltwater on the rock faces and clouds building over the summits in the afternoon. Mornings in fair weather often give the sharpest light on the peaks.
The region has a mountain climate, so conditions change quickly and temperatures at the summit are much lower than in the valley. Summer is the most popular season for walking, while winter brings skiing and snowshoeing. Other cameras nearby include the Zugspitze cable car departure station, the Eibsee Hotel view towards the southwest and a FlyingCam in Ehrwald.

The camera is at the Eibsee cable car pylon near Grainau, in Bavaria, at about 1,360 metres altitude. The map on this page shows its exact position.
Clear mornings and winter days with fresh snow tend to show the mountains most clearly. Afternoons in summer often bring cloud over the peaks, so timing your visit to the forecast helps.
