This live stream shows the Pollença area in the north of Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands. The camera is useful if you want to see current conditions before heading out, or to check what the town looks like from a distance at any hour.
Pollença is a small town in the Tramuntana foothills of northern Mallorca, about eight metres above sea level. It is known for its historic centre with stone houses, its Calvary steps climbing the hill, and its market, which has run for centuries. The surrounding countryside of olive groves, almond trees and dry stone walls gives the town a quieter feel than the resorts on the south coast.
Depending on the view, you may see streets and rooftops, the surrounding hills or the sky over the valley. Mornings and late afternoons usually bring the softest light, while midday sun can flatten the colours. Clear days show the mountains best, and after rain the landscape often looks greener and more vivid for a while.
Pollença has hot, dry summers and mild winters, and spring and autumn are often the most comfortable seasons for walking. The town is reached by car from Palma in around forty minutes. Nearby cameras on this site cover Playa de Port de, Cala Sant Vicenç, Port de Pollença and the Puig de Maria, so you can compare conditions along the coast and in the hills.
