This live view shows Manarola, one of the five coloured villages of Cinque Terre on the Ligurian coast of Italy. Watch the stream to get a sense of the village and the sea before you plan a visit or while you are on the way.
Manarola sits on a steep rocky spur above the Mediterranean in the Cinque Terre national park, in the province of La Spezia. The houses are stacked in tall pastel rows along a narrow ravine, and the village is known for its small harbour, its wine terraces and the vineyards that climb the hillsides. Its location makes it one of the most photographed places on the Riviera di Levante.
Depending on the view, you may see the village rooftops, the harbour and the open sea beyond. Daylight shows the colours of the houses most clearly, while the hours around sunset often bring the warmest light and the busiest viewpoints. Changes in sea state and cloud cover are easy to follow from a live stream, so check before heading out on the coastal path.
Liguria has mild winters and warm, drier summers, with the best walking weather in spring and early autumn. Manarola is reached by regional train from La Spezia or along the Via dell'Amore path from Riomaggiore, which is about one kilometre away. Corniglia lies two kilometres along the coast, so nearby cameras can help you judge conditions along the route.
