Mölltaler Gletscher - Schareck - vue vers l'ouest
🇦🇹 Carinthia · Austria — Altitude 3123 m
This live camera looks west from the Schareck area of the Mölltaler Glacier, a high-alpine ski and summer destination in Carinthia at about 3,100 metres. It is useful for checking the state of the mountain before a trip, or for simply seeing what weather is rolling over the Hohe Tauern ridges.
The Mölltaler Glacier lies in the Hohe Tauern range of southern Austria, above the Möll valley in the Carinthian region. It is one of the higher glacier areas in the eastern Alps and is known for its snow-sure skiing and its open, rocky high-mountain terrain. The landscape is shaped by ice, scree and wide views toward the surrounding peaks, which change character with every season.
The camera shows the mountain from its title and category as a high-alpine viewpoint, so expect snowfields, ridgelines and changing cloud rather than any particular feature. Clear mornings tend to give the sharpest views, while afternoon cloud often builds over the peaks. Winter and spring show the most snow cover, while late summer and autumn can reveal more bare rock and crisp, clear skies.
The glacier is reached by road from the Möll valley, with cable cars carrying visitors up to the high slopes. Temperatures at this altitude are much lower than in the valley, and conditions can change quickly, so check the local weather block on this page before heading out. Nearby cameras on the same glacier include the Klühspies and Eissee lift stations, and the Alteck lift arrival.

The local time for the glacier is shown in the live clock on this page. Austria follows Central European time, with summer daylight saving time.
The camera is on the Mölltaler Glacier in Carinthia, Austria, at roughly 3,100 metres. The map on this page marks its position and the surrounding lift stations.
Clear mornings usually give the most detail on the peaks, and winter brings the most snow to the scene. Check the weather block first, since cloud can hide the view for long periods.
