This live camera looks over Brighton, a ski resort in the Wasatch Range east of Salt Lake City. It is useful for judging conditions on the mountain before you set off, whether you are planning a powder day or just checking how busy the base is. The live player, local time and weather forecast are shown below the stream.
Brighton sits at about 2,680 metres in the Wasatch Mountains, a range known for steep terrain and some of the heaviest snowfall in North America. The resort is one of the oldest in the state and is set within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, so the surroundings are forested canyons and high alpine ridges. In winter the valley below is often sunny while the peaks hold fresh snow, which gives the area its character.
The title points to a ski resort, so the view is most likely of the slopes, lifts or base area, though the exact frame depends on the operator. Mornings are often the best time to watch, when lifts are opening and fresh snow is still untouched. Clear days show the most detail, while storms can hide the upper mountain entirely. Watching a few minutes before deciding on a trip is a simple way to gauge visibility.
Most visitors come in winter, from December through March, when snow is reliable. Salt Lake City International Airport is roughly an hour's drive away, and buses and shuttles run up the canyon in season. Mountain weather changes quickly, so check the forecast on this page and plan for cold, windy conditions at the top. Nearby cameras at Solitude and Park City are listed below for comparison.
