Anzère - Lac de Tseuzier
🇨🇭 Valais · Switzerland — Altitude 1776 m
This live camera looks out over Lac de Tseuzier, a reservoir set among the mountains above Anzère in the Valais canton. It is a quiet way to check how the lake and surrounding slopes look right now, before deciding on a walk or a drive up the valley.
Lac de Tseuzier is an artificial lake created by a dam on the Lienne river, and it sits at a considerable altitude in the Valais Alps. Anzère is a village-resort above the Rhône valley, known for its sunny south-facing slopes and its quiet, family-oriented character. The surroundings are mostly forest, pasture and rocky mountainside, with the water reflecting the peaks when the air is still.
The view is a natural landscape, so the most interesting moments depend on the weather and the season. Clear mornings often bring calm water and sharp reflections, while afternoon clouds can build quickly over the peaks in summer. In autumn the larch and birch on the slopes can change colour, and in winter snow may cover the shoreline and the surrounding hills.
Summers are mild and pleasant for hiking, and winters are cold with reliable snow for skiing in the wider area. Anzère is reached by road from Sion, and the nearby cameras at Crans-Montana, the Anzère village, Venthône and Lenk give a useful picture of conditions across the region before you travel.
