About Palamós

Palamós sits on a small bay in the Baix Empordà, a few kilometres from the Mediterranean resorts further along the coast. It has a fishing port that still lands prawns and red shrimp, an old town of narrow streets, and the Castell de Palamós overlooking the harbour. The mood is more local and less crowded than in the bigger coastal resorts, and the landscape of pine-covered hills and clear water is typical of this stretch of Catalonia.
