Tamariu is a quiet fishing village in the Baix Empordà, on the rocky northern coast of Catalonia. Its pebbly beach sits between low cliffs and whitewashed houses that climb the slopes behind it. The landscape is typical of this stretch of coast: pine woods, clear water and a slow pace that changes little from one season to the next.
