This live stream looks out over the El Toro area of Calvià, on the south-west coast of Mallorca. It is a useful way to check how the coast looks before you head out. The page also shows local time and the weather for the area.
Calvià is a municipality on the south-west side of Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. El Toro is a rocky headland close to the sea, and the district is known for its coves, pine-covered slopes and the calm, clear water that draws swimmers and boaters. The landscape mixes limestone cliffs with small beaches and residential areas set back from the shore.
Depending on the view, you may see the sea conditions, boats moving along the coast and the light changing over the water. Mornings often show calmer water, while late afternoon brings warmer light and softer colours on the rock. Summer is the busiest season on the coast, so the stream can be a quick way to judge how crowded the shoreline is at a given moment.
Mallorca has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters, and the sea is warmest from late July to September. Spring and autumn are comfortable for walking. Nearby on the camera list are the Illa del Toro underwater camera, the resort town of Paguera about 8 km away and Palma de Mallorca roughly 18 km away.
