Śnieżka - widok z 1603 m n.p.m.
🇵🇱 Lower Silesia · Poland — Altitude 1588 m
This live camera looks out from the summit area of Śnieżka, the highest peak of the Karkonosze on the Polish-Czech border. It is a useful way to check conditions on the ridge before deciding whether to walk up, especially when cloud, wind or snow can change the view quickly.
Śnieżka rises to about 1,600 metres in the Karkonosze range in Lower Silesia, close to the border with the Czech Republic. It is the most visited summit in the range and is known for its open alpine-style slopes, dwarf mountain pine and wide views when the air is clear. The area is shaped by long winters and exposed ridges, and the atmosphere on top is distinctly different from the valleys below.
The view depends on the weather more than on the hour. On clear days the summit area and surrounding ridges are easy to make out, while low cloud can hide everything for hours. Early mornings and late afternoons often bring the most dramatic light, and winter brings snow and rime that change the scene completely. Check the live feed, then decide whether the moment suits a visit.
Summer is the most comfortable season for walking, while winter is popular for skiing in the wider Karkonosze. Conditions on the summit can be windy and cold even when the valleys are mild, so bring layers. Nearby cameras at the Sněžka cable car, the Góry playlist and resorts such as Karpacz and Pec pod Sněžkou help you compare the weather across the range.
