About Odawara
Odawara sits on the Pacific coast of Honshu, at the foot of the hills that lead toward the Hakone mountains. It is best known for its well-preserved hilltop castle, a reconstructed keep that overlooks the city, and for being a long-standing stop on the old road between Edo and western Japan. The mix of coastline, rising hills and traditional townscape gives the city a distinctly relaxed character compared with nearby Tokyo.
