Reinswald - Sattele
🇮🇹 Trentino-South Tyrol · Italy — Altitude 2350 m
This live view looks out over the mountains around Reinswald, a small village in the Sarntal valley of South Tyrol. It is useful for judging cloud, snow and visibility from a high alpine viewpoint before heading out. Check the current weather and local time on the page below the stream.
Reinswald lies in the Sarntal, a quiet side valley north of Bolzano that runs between the Sarntal Alps and the Ritten plateau. The village sits at a comfortable altitude, and the surrounding slopes are known for meadows, forest and traditional farmhouses. It is a place people come to for hiking and calm rather than for big-city sights, and the landscape changes noticeably from the valley floor to the higher pastures.
The camera is set on the Sattele area, so the view is mainly of the mountain terrain, the sky and how the clouds move across the ridges. Mornings often bring clear air and sharp outlines, while afternoons in summer can bring build-up of cloud and sometimes thunderstorms. In winter the slopes may be snow covered, and the view can show how much snow is lying and whether the sky is clearing. Depending on the view, the most interesting moments are often early and late in the day, when light falls across the peaks.
The Sarntal has a mountain climate, with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Summer is the most popular season for walks, while winter suits snow sports and quiet stays. Nearby cameras on the same network show Pfnatsch, Pichlberg and Sunnolm within a few kilometres, and Sambergerhof in Villanders is a little further away. Compare them to get a fuller picture of conditions across the area.

The current conditions and a three-day forecast are shown in the weather block on this page. Because the village is at high altitude, it can differ noticeably from forecasts for Bolzano in the valley.
The local time is displayed above the camera and updates automatically. Reinswald follows Central European Time, with summer daylight saving time in effect from spring to autumn.
The camera is in Reinswald in the Sarntal valley of South Tyrol, at about 2350 metres above sea level. The map on the page shows its position and the surrounding area.
Clear mornings and late afternoons are usually the most rewarding, when the light is good and the peaks are easiest to see. Check the weather block first, since cloud can hide the mountains for long periods.
