Valgrisenche - Rifugio degli angeli
🇮🇹 Aosta Valley · Italy — Altitude 2916 m
This camera looks out from the Rifugio degli Angeli at about 2,900 metres in the Valgrisenche valley of the Aosta Valley. It suits anyone planning a hike, checking alpine conditions, or simply wanting a window onto high mountain light. The live player is embedded from the source, and the page adds local time and weather above it.
Valgrisenche is a quiet side valley of the Aosta Valley in northwest Italy, running south from the Rhône river toward the high peaks of the Graian Alps. Its character is rural and alpine: larch and pine forests, stone villages, pastures and glacier-fed streams. Access is by a narrow road that ends the valley's traffic well before the high country, which keeps it calm and uncrowded compared with the better-known resorts nearby.
A mountain-refuge view is mostly about weather and light. Watch for cloud building over the ridges in the afternoon, the sharp shadows of early morning, and the warm tones at sunset. Snow cover changes the scene dramatically from autumn to late spring. The view is best checked on clear mornings, when peaks are most visible, and the live stream shows whether cloud is sitting in the valley.
Summers are mild and the best season for walking to high refuges, roughly June to September, while winter brings heavy snow and many tracks close. Nearby cameras in Bonne, Rhemes Notre Dame, La Thuile and the Mont Blanc view give a wider picture of the region. Check conditions locally before setting out, as high routes can change quickly with weather.
