Laruns - Cbf tunnel du Somport N134 Alt1116m
🇫🇷 Nouvelle-Aquitaine · France
This camera watches the N134 road at Laruns, the main mountain route from the French side of the Pyrenees toward the Somport pass and the Spanish border. It is the place to look if you are planning a crossing or simply want to see how traffic moves on this valley road. The live view is embedded from the road operator's public feed.
Laruns sits in the Ossau valley in the Béarn area of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, at the foot of the high Pyrenees. The valley is known for its green pastures, Pyrenean farming traditions and access to hiking and skiing. The N134 climbs from here toward the Somport pass, one of the historic routes between France and Spain, and the road follows the river through steep, wooded slopes.
The feed shows the carriageway and the approach to the tunnel area, so you can judge traffic density and surface conditions in real time. Movement is most visible at weekends, during holiday periods and at the start and end of the ski season. In winter, snow and ice on the road are the main things to check, and in summer the flow of holiday traffic is most noticeable.
The mountain climate is cool even in summer, and temperatures can drop sharply with altitude, so conditions at the pass may differ from the valley. Plan crossings in daylight where possible. Nearby cameras include Le Somport, several views at the Candanchú ski area on the Spanish side, and the Tuca Blanca slope, which are useful for checking conditions further up the road.
