Teton County - Unrivaled Wyoming landscape on Hoback River, Yellowstone region
๐บ๐ธ Wyoming ยท United States โ Altitude 2156 m
This live camera looks out over the open Wyoming landscape along the Hoback River, in the Yellowstone region of the American West. It is useful for checking how the valley looks and what conditions are like before you travel to this part of the Rockies.
Teton County sits in western Wyoming, a wide country of river valleys, sagebrush benches and mountain ranges at roughly 2,150 metres above sea level. The Hoback River drains from the Wyoming Range toward the Snake River, and the surrounding area is known as a gateway to Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks. The mood here is open and quiet, with big skies and few buildings in view.
The title names the Hoback River and the wider landscape, so the view is most likely of the valley and surrounding slopes rather than a town. Depending on the angle, you may see river water, grass and forest edges, and weather moving across the peaks. Mornings often bring clear light and calm water, while late afternoon storms are common in summer and can change the scene quickly.
Summers are warm during the day and cool at night, with frequent afternoon thunderstorms, while winters are cold and snowy. Late June through September is the most popular period for hiking and fishing. Nearby cameras include Snake River, Jackson Hole, Alpine and Teton Village, which help you compare conditions across the region before you head out.
