This live camera looks out over Lake Ozark, a reservoir town on the Missouri Ozarks. It is useful for checking how the lake and the surrounding hills look right now, before planning a drive or a day on the water. The stream is provided by its owner and embedded here with a link to the source.
Lake Ozark sits in the wooded hills of central Missouri, on the Lake of the Ozarks, a long reservoir formed by a dam on the Osage River. The lake has many coves and shorelines, and the area is known for boating, fishing and summer lake life. The landscape is a mix of limestone bluffs, oak and hickory forest and water that changes colour with the weather and the season.
Because the title names the lake, the view is most likely to show open water, shoreline and the hills across it. Depending on the angle, you may see boats in warm months, fog over the water in the early morning, or storm clouds building over the ridges in spring and summer. Mornings tend to be calm and clear, while late afternoon light often gives the best contrast on the water.
Summers in the Ozarks are hot and humid, while winters are mild with occasional cold snaps. Spring and autumn are often the most pleasant times to visit. The town is reached by road from St. Louis and Kansas City, and nearby cameras on this page include the Paradise Marina and Watersports view in Lake Ozark and the Sedalia view about 77 km away.
