This live camera looks out over the Cape marina on Florida's Atlantic coast, a working waterfront close to Port Canaveral. Use it to check conditions on the water and the sky before heading out, or simply to see what the coast looks like right now.
Cape Canaveral sits on the Space Coast of central-east Florida, a flat stretch of barrier island, lagoon and marsh shaped by the Atlantic. The area is known as the launch base for American space flights, and the nearby Kennedy Space Center draws visitors from around the world. Away from the launch pads, the town is a base for fishing, boating and seaside living, with wide skies and little elevation above the sea.
Because the view is tied to the marina, the most useful things to watch are boat traffic, the water state and the sky over the Atlantic. Morning and late afternoon usually offer the softest light for judging weather, while midday sun can flatten the picture. The camera is provided by its owner, so the feed's availability and framing depend on the source.
The region has a humid subtropical climate, with hot, wet summers and mild, drier winters, and the afternoon thunderstorms of summer are common. Spring and autumn are generally the most comfortable months to visit. Port Canaveral is a short drive away, and the Cocoa Beach area and other coastal cameras in the Brevard County region are nearby if you want to compare conditions along the shore.
