This live stream looks into the pro shop at Anchorage Golf Course, a municipal course in Alaska's largest city. It is useful for checking whether the course is busy and how conditions look in town before you head out. The page also shows local time and the weather outlook for Anchorage.
About the place
Anchorage sits on the Cook Inlet at the foot of the Chugach Mountains, and it is the main gateway to south-central Alaska. The golf course lies within the city's park and recreation network, giving players a view of birch and spruce stands and open fairways, with mountains visible on clear days. The city feels both urban and wild, since moose and other wildlife are not unusual near town.
What the camera shows
The camera points at the pro shop rather than the course itself, so you will mainly see the entrance area and people coming and going. Activity tends to peak on weekend mornings and on warm afternoons in summer, when the course is busiest. Because the view is indoors, it stays useful in rain or snow, when outdoor conditions are less predictable.
Practical notes
Anchorage has a subarctic climate with long, cool summers, where daylight lasts for many hours in June, and cold, dark winters. The golf season generally runs from late spring into early autumn, depending on snow and frost. Nearby on VizCams you can open the practice range camera at the same course, the Alaska Zoo polar bear enclosure, and the Hilltop Ski Area slopes.
