About Mevagissey
Mevagissey is a former pilchard fishing village tucked into a steep valley on the Cornish south coast, a short drive from St Austell. Its narrow streets of whitewashed and slate-roofed cottages run down to a sheltered inner harbour. The village has long been tied to fishing and boat-building, and that character remains visible in its quays, moorings and small working vessels.
