This live stream looks out over a residential garden in Masdar City, on the edge of Abu Dhabi. It suits anyone curious about daily life in one of the emirate's planned districts, or who wants to see how the light and heat change through the day. The page also gives the current local time and weather so you can judge conditions before you look.

About the setting

Masdar City lies on the southeastern side of Abu Dhabi, a low-rise district built around an ambition to combine sustainable design with modern living. The wider emirate sits on the Arabian Gulf coast, where flat desert meets shallow sea and the skyline is shaped by new towers and older low buildings. The residential gardens around Bab Al Qasr are part of that planned landscape, with palms, lawns and walkways set between apartment blocks.

What you can watch

The stream is a view of a residential garden setting, so expect slow changes rather than constant movement. Daylight hours bring the clearest colours and the strongest shadows, while early morning and evening often soften the scene. Clouds and occasional dust can alter the look of the sky from one hour to the next, and the best moments depend on the weather and the season.

Climate and getting around

Abu Dhabi has a hot desert climate, with long, very warm summers and mild, pleasant winters that are generally the best time to visit. Humidity can be high near the coast. Masdar City is close to the Abu Dhabi city centre and the Gulf shoreline, and nearby cameras on this site cover the Al Raha Beach area and Al Reem Island for comparison.
