Kayseri - Tekir Seyir Alanı 1
🇹🇷 Kayseri · Türkiye — Altitude 2210 m
This camera looks out from the Tekir viewpoint above Kayseri, a mountain lookout on the edge of the city in central Anatolia. It is useful for checking how the city and the surrounding slopes look right now, especially when haze, cloud or snow is in the air. The live picture is refreshed regularly by the city's own camera service.
Kayseri sits on the northern slopes of Mount Erciyes, a large extinct volcano whose snow-capped summit dominates the skyline for much of the year. The city has a long history as a trading centre on the old Silk Road routes, and its surroundings mix dry plateau, orchards and rising mountain terrain. At about 2,200 metres, the viewpoint sits high enough to feel the change from the valley below.
Depending on the view, you may see the urban grid spreading across the plain, the mountain ridges beyond it and the changing colours of the seasons. Clear mornings tend to give the sharpest distant outlines, while late afternoon light softens the slopes. In winter, watch for snow cover on the peaks and the haze that can settle over the city in cold, still weather.
Kayseri has a continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold winters, so spring and early autumn are the most comfortable seasons for a visit. Nearby cameras show other parts of the area, including the Ali Dağı 360 Cafe in Talas about 14 km away, and the Develi and Mimarsinan Meydan views around 18 km from here. The city is served by its own airport and regional roads.
