This live camera looks out over Verbier, the Alpine resort in the Valais canton of Switzerland. It gives a real-time view of the village and surrounding mountains, useful for checking conditions before you travel or simply following the mood of the valley. The live player, local time and weather update on this page.
Verbier sits at roughly 1,700 metres above sea level in the Bagnes valley, a short drive from Martigny in the Rhone valley. It is one of the best known ski resorts in Switzerland, famous for its off-piste terrain, lively nightlife and a village that keeps its traditional chalet character. The surrounding peaks and high pastures give the town a dramatic, open feel throughout the year.
The view is framed by the mountains above the village, so the sky, cloud movement and snow cover are the main things to follow. Clear mornings tend to show the peaks most sharply, while afternoon cloud often builds over the ridges. In winter the slopes are white and busy with skiers, and in summer the meadows turn green. Because the picture is live, the scene changes with the weather and the time of day.
Winters are cold with reliable snow from December to April, while summers are mild and good for hiking and cycling. Verbier is reached by road from Martigny, and buses connect the village with neighbouring resorts. Nearby cameras include Medran, just one kilometre away, as well as views from Fully, Champex and Martigny, which are useful for comparing conditions across the valley.
