This live stream looks out over Olimp, a small seaside resort on the Romanian Black Sea coast in Constanța County. Use it to check conditions along the shore before heading out, or simply to see how the sea looks at this hour.

About Olimp

Olimp sits on the western shore of the Black Sea, a few kilometres from the Mamaia and Neptun area and close to the old port city of Constanța. The coast here is mostly sandy, with low dunes and a gently sloping beach. The landscape is flat, and the wide sky and the horizon over the water shape much of the atmosphere, especially in the early morning and late afternoon.

What to watch on the camera

The stream is a live video view, so the picture changes with light, cloud and sea state. Calm mornings usually show the smoothest water, while windier afternoons bring whitecaps and a more active shoreline. Summer months are the busiest, with more people on the sand. Depending on the view, you may see the beach, the water and the coastal buildings, and the weather conditions are often easiest to judge around midday.

Practical notes

The Romanian Black Sea coast is mainly a summer destination, with warm, dry months from June to September and the water at its warmest in July and August. Spring and autumn are quieter and cooler. Nearby cameras cover Neptun and several points in Costinești, so you can compare conditions along a few kilometres of coastline before you travel.
