Stilfser Joch - Tibet Hütte
🇮🇹 Trentino-South Tyrol · Italy — Altitude 2800 m
This camera looks out from the Tibet Hütte near the Stelvio Pass, one of the highest mountain roads in the Alps. It is useful for checking whether the high passes are clear before a drive or a hike. The live player is embedded from its owner's stream, and the weather and local time update on this page.
Stilfser Joch sits at about 2,800 metres in the Ortler range of the Italian Alps, on the border between Trentino and South Tyrol. The Stelvio Pass is famous for its long serpentine switchbacks, and the surrounding peaks are part of the Stelvio National Park. The area is mostly high alpine terrain of rock, grass and glacier-fed valleys, with a stark, open atmosphere that changes quickly with the weather.
The stream comes from a mountain hut at high altitude, so the view depends on cloud, fog and snow more than on daylight alone. Clear mornings tend to give the most distant visibility, while afternoon cloud often builds over the peaks in summer. Early and late hours are worth watching for light on the rock faces, and winter views can show snow cover from the first autumn storms onwards.
The pass is usually open from late spring to autumn, with closures possible in bad weather, so check the live view and forecast before travelling. Summer temperatures at this height are cool even when the valleys below are warm. Nearby cameras include Trafoi, the Furkel hut and the Bormio views, which cover the approach roads and the valley below.

The local time for the camera is shown on this page and follows the Central European time zone used in Italy. Daylight hours change a lot across the year, so check the displayed time when planning a visit.
The camera is at the Tibet Hütte near the Stelvio Pass, at roughly 2,800 metres in the Ortler area of South Tyrol. A map on this page shows its position relative to the pass road and nearby villages.
Clear mornings in summer and early autumn usually give the sharpest views of the peaks. In winter the camera can show fresh snow, but access to the pass is limited, so check the conditions before relying on it.
