About Mondello
Mondello is a seaside district of Palermo, the capital of Sicily, set on a broad crescent of fine sand under the Monte Pellegrino headland. For generations Palermitans have come here in summer for bathing, ice cream and evening strolls along the seafront. The Liberty-style Charming Mondello villa and the Art Nouveau cafes give the waterfront its distinctive character, which is why the area feels more relaxed than the bustling city centre.
