🇬🇷 Peloponnese · Greece — Altitude 1500 m
This live stream looks out over the Zireias mountain ski centre at about 1,500 metres above sea level in the Peloponnese. It is a useful way to check how the upper slopes look before deciding whether to make the drive up from the coast.
Zireias rises in the northern Peloponnese, above the Corinthia and Achaia lowlands. The area is a limestone massif with forest, rocky ridges and open clearings, and it is closer to the Gulf of Corinth than most people expect. Its altitude gives it a noticeably cooler climate than the towns below, which is why it has long been a winter destination for Greeks from nearby cities.
The stream is most informative after fresh snowfall, when you can judge how much cover the slopes have and whether the sky is clear enough for skiing. In winter, cloud and wind can roll over the summit within minutes, so it is worth checking the picture again before setting out. In warmer months the same view shows the bare mountain and the greener forest below, which changes with the weather.
The best ski conditions usually come from December to March, depending on the season's snow. Summer is cooler than the surrounding plains and suits walking. Nearby live cameras at Trikala Korinthias, Zaroukhla in Achaia, Mpechleri and the Kalavryta ski centre let you compare conditions across the region before you travel.

Winter mornings after snowfall are usually the most interesting, when slope cover and visibility are easy to judge. Clear days in any season give the clearest view of the mountain.
