About Ulm

Ulm lies where the Danube leaves the Swabian Alb and flows toward Bavaria, at around 489 metres above sea level. It is best known for its Gothic minster, whose tower is among the tallest church towers in the world, and for the historic old town of half-timbered houses along the river. Ulm is also the birthplace of Albert Einstein and has a strong university and research tradition.
