Min - Man City Cam
🇨🇳 Gansu · China — Altitude 2314 m
This live camera looks over Min, a town in the mountainous south of Gansu province in northwest China. It is a useful window on everyday city life in a region most visitors never see, and it shows conditions that change quickly at this altitude. Check the live player and the weather block before you watch.
Min is a county-level town in Gansu, close to the border with Sichuan and within the Min Mountains, a range of the Qinling system. The town sits at roughly 2,300 metres, so the air is thin and the surrounding slopes are steep, forested and often hazy in the mornings. The Bailong River valley runs nearby and has shaped the settlement for centuries. The area is quieter than Gansu's larger cities, and its character comes from the mountains rather than from monuments.
The camera is listed as a city view, so expect a town scene rather than a landmark close-up. Depending on the angle, you may see streets, rooftops and traffic, and the mountain backdrop that frames the valley. Mid-morning and late afternoon usually give the clearest light and the best contrast on the hills. Cloud can settle into the valley quickly, so a grey view does not always mean the camera has failed.
Min has a continental climate with cold, dry winters and mild summers, and most rain falls in the warmer months. Spring and early autumn are generally the most comfortable times to visit, with clear skies and moderate temperatures, though nights stay cool at this height. Min is reached by road from the provincial capital Lanzhou and from the Sichuan side of the mountains. This camera is currently the only one listed for the Gansu region on VizCams.
