Toronto - CN Tower Cam - West View
🇨🇦 Ontario · Canada — Altitude 90 m
This live camera looks west toward the CN Tower, the landmark that defines Toronto's skyline on the shore of Lake Ontario. It is a quick way to see how the city looks right now and whether the sky is clear. The stream is provided by its source and embedded here with a link back to them.
Toronto is the largest city in Canada and the capital of Ontario, built along the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. The CN Tower, completed in 1976, rises about 553 metres and has long been the city's most recognisable symbol. The surrounding downtown mixes glass towers, historic streets and a busy waterfront with ferries heading out to the Toronto Islands. The lake shapes the weather and the light across the city.
A view of the tower and skyline is most rewarding in the late afternoon, when the sun lights the western faces of the buildings, and again after dark when the city lights come on. Clear days give the sharpest view across the downtown core, while haze or cloud can soften the upper part of the tower. Winter often brings snow and grey skies, and summer evenings tend to be the busiest along the waterfront.
Toronto has warm, humid summers and cold winters, with the most pleasant weather usually from late May to early October. The city is easy to reach by air through Pearson International Airport and has a good transit network of subway, streetcar and buses. A second camera from the same tower looks east, and other Toronto views sit nearby on the waterfront at the Toronto Islands.

Late afternoon in clear weather offers good light on the buildings, and evenings show the city lit up. Haze or low cloud can reduce visibility of the upper tower on some days.
