This live stream shows Burgas, the main city on Bulgaria's southern Black Sea coast. Open it to check the current scene and conditions before heading to the seaside or planning a trip. The page also gives local time and the weather forecast for the city.
Burgas sits on the Gulf of Burgas, a wide bay on the Black Sea, and is the largest urban centre on Bulgaria's southern coast. It is known as a port and industrial city, and as the gateway to the resorts and nature reserves along the coast. Its lakes and salt marshes near the shore make the surroundings more varied than a typical seaside town.
The stream is best watched in daylight, when sea, sky and city lights are easiest to read. Depending on the view, you may see boats moving in the bay, the waterfront and changes in cloud and wind over the water. Mornings and late afternoons often show the clearest light, while summer weather tends to bring the busiest activity along the coast.
Burgas has hot, fairly dry summers and mild winters, with the sea moderating temperatures near the coast. Late spring and early autumn are comfortable for walking and sightseeing. The city has an airport and good road and rail links, and the nearby Slantchev Briag and Kiten resorts can be reached in under an hour by car.
