Fügen - FlyingCam
🇦🇹 Tyrol · Austria
This live camera looks out over Fügen, a village in the Zillertal valley of Tyrol. It is useful if you want to check how the valley looks before heading up into the Alps or to see whether the mountains are clear. The player below streams the feed directly from its owner.
Fügen sits on the floor of the Zillertal, one of the best-known side valleys of the Austrian Alps, running down toward the Inn valley. The village is a base for hikers and skiers, with the Zillertal Alps rising on both sides. The valley is known for its traditional Tyrolean architecture, farmland and rivers fed by mountain snowmelt, giving it a green, open character in summer and a white one in winter.
The camera is a FlyingCam, a live view from the valley, so the scene changes with the weather and time of day. Mornings often bring low mist along the river, while afternoons tend to show the peaks more clearly. In winter you may see snow on the slopes, and in summer the meadows and forested flanks are the main features. Clouds often build over the high peaks during the afternoon, so checking the live view before planning a trip is worthwhile.
The Zillertal has a continental Alpine climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Summer, from June to September, suits hiking and cycling, while winter is the season for skiing. Nearby cameras you can open from this page include Onkeljoch in Fügen, Hotel Kohlerhof in Kapfing, Kellerjoch above Pillberg and a general Zillertal view, all within a few kilometres.
