Schladming / Pichl - Reiteralm - Bergstation Preunegg Jet
π¦πΉ Styria Β· Austria
This live camera looks out from the mountain station of the Preunegg Jet on the Reiteralm, above the Styrian towns of Schladming and Pichl. It is useful for checking whether the high slopes are clear before heading up, or simply for watching the Alpine weather move across the ski area.
Schladming lies in the Enns valley in the Austrian state of Styria, a region of wide meadows, forested ridges and high limestone peaks. The Reiteralm is one of the mountains rising above the town and Pichl, and it is part of the wider ski area known for its links with the Schladming slopes. The landscape is pastoral in the valley and rugged higher up, with the character of a working Alpine community.
The view is taken from the mountain station, so the camera is positioned to show the high terrain and the lift approach rather than the town itself. Depending on the view at the time, you may see slopes, lift lines or cloud drifting over the ridges. Mornings often offer the clearest air, while afternoon cloud build-up is common in summer. Winter conditions and fresh snow are the main reasons many people check in.
The Styrian Alps have a changeable mountain climate, so conditions at the station can differ sharply from those in the valley. Winter suits skiing and snowshoeing, while summer and early autumn are good for walking and mountain views. Other cameras nearby include the Reiteralm lake view, the 6er-Sesselbahn station, the Hochwurzen valley station and the Vorderfager station in Forstau.
