About the pass
Turracher Höhe sits on a high alpine pass in the Nockberge range of southern Austria, straddling the border between Styria and Carinthia. It is best known as a winter sports area with a network of lifts and pistes, and in summer as a base for hiking among the rounded mountain tops. The surrounding landscape is open meadows, forest and small lakes, which gives the area a quiet, mountain character.
