Aich-Assach - Stoderzinken
🇦🇹 Styria · Austria — Altitude 1854 m
This camera looks out from the Stoderzinken, a mountain above Aich-Assach in the Ennstal region of Styria. Watch the live picture to judge visibility over the valley and the surrounding peaks before you plan a walk or a drive into the area.
Aich-Assach sits in the Enns valley of Styria, in the northern Alps of Austria. The Stoderzinken rises to about 1,850 metres and forms part of the Schladming Tauern range, where the mountains are green and wooded in the lower slopes and rocky higher up. The area is known for alpine meadows, forestry and a quiet rural character away from the larger resorts.
As a mountain camera, the view is mainly about the sky, cloud movement and the light on the peaks. Mornings often bring clear air before clouds build over the ridges in the afternoon, and changing weather can shift the view within minutes. Winter snow and autumn colours tend to be the most striking seasons, though the picture always depends on the conditions on the day.
The Ennstal area has a continental-alpine climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Summer and early autumn suit hiking, while winter brings skiing on nearby slopes. The Hauser Kaibling lower station and the Gröbming panorama camera are within about seven kilometres, which helps you compare conditions across the valley.
